An Initiative For Rural Women, Inspiring them to engage and endeavor in entrepreneurship.
India has one of the lowest female labor force participation (FLFP) rates— typically measured as the share of women that are employed or seeking work as a share of the working-age female population — among emerging markets and developing countries. Accordingly, a FLFP rate of 33 percent implies that only 125 million of the roughly 380 million working age Indian females are seeking work or are currently employed (see Census of India 2011 for additional details). Encouraging entrepreneurship in rural women would not only address the problem of unemployment but also influence them in many aspects like : Economic independence. | Establishing their own creative idea. | Establishing their own identity. | Achievement of excellence. | Building confidence. | Developing risk-taking ability. | Equal status in society. | Greater freedom and mobility.
PROJECT HOPE inspires, educates, engages and empowers the rural women towards entrepreneurship through its partner network, and any rural women entrepreneur who shows the entrepreneurial spark and promise is encouraged with a seed fund from The Billennium Divas.
